Antonius has been Prince of Amsterdam since the last year of world war II. Nobody seems to know precisely how he managed to get into power, nor do they fully understand how he has managed to keep it. Any guess to that end, however, inevitably involves his mastery of the Theban Arts, which surpasses that of any other Kindred in the city. With that in mind, many wonder why he is Prince, as opposed to Archbishop. A Prince who claims no higher title within his Covenant than that of Priest. Severijn leads the Westminster Creed within the city, which is dwarfed by the more conservative Monachal Creed led by Bishop Wesp. Many, particularly those of other Domains, mock him as being the 'Fair Prince' or 'Antonius the Tolerant.' It is a relative thing, amongst the Damned, of course. While his policies are regarded by many as progressive, there can be no doubt that he is more than willing, and able, to lay down harsh rules.
