Name: Cato Wesp Quote: “Sometimes our good Prince shows the heretics perhaps more leniency than I would. I do not question his authority in such matters of course, merely the theological underpinnings of it. For my part, I expect and demand nothing short of your full and utter devotion to the Testament.”

Cato Wesp is the Bishop of Amsterdam, and runs his congregation according to a strict interpretation of the Testament of Longinus. In this, he is backed by Cardinal Willibrord, of Utrecht, who while not a part of the Domain of Amsterdam, nonetheless exerts considerable influence over it. Bishop Wesp's theological differences with the Prince are an ill-kept secret in the city, but politically, the two stand together as the leadership of the Lancea Sanctum in the city. Though he has a considerable following, Bishop Wesp has a reputation for intrigue and manipulation, often distrusted by those not within his congregation, who are ever wary of the plots he is perceived as hatching. Regardless of his reputation however, he has not been proven to have been involved in any serious plots over the past century. A fact which is only cause for more worry amongst his detractors.
