Marcel is the Prefect of Amsterdam's Carthian Movement for one reason and one reason only: Nobody else has wanted the job since the disappearance of the last Prefect a few weeks after the Bijlmermeer airplane crash of 1992. The movement lost a charismatic leader, and most of its exuberant morale. Since that year, the Carthians have been struggling, losing members every once in a while due to various forces, both seen and unseen, and never finding a unified and strong leader capable of bringing the covenant together. Still, there's hope for the future; a capable leader will arrive, and in the meantime, Marcel will keep the seat warm. Of course, Marcel is unlikely to just roll over once that leader arrives; he may be an incompetent slimey weasel, but he's got his pride and Ventrue blood. Quotes on the Damned: (leave yours)
